TESTER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q - HOW DO I GET STARTED SUBMITTING TESTS THROUGH CROSSCONNEX?

A - Start by going to www.vepocc.com or by downloading the mobile application from the App Store or Google Play. Select the option to create a tester account and provide the required information.

Q - WHAT IS THE VCC NUMBER AND WHAT IF MY CUSTOMER DOES NOT HAVE ONE?

A - The VCC number is the CrossConnex number that is assigned to every device. Your customer receives their VCC number/s in a letter from the water utility. If your customer does not have their VCC number you can contact the water utility to get it or call CrossConnex at 1-877-860-8376

Q - TESTER CERTIFICATION AND TEST KIT CALIBRATION INFORMATION

A - All testers must provide the expiration date of their tester certification in their profile along with a picture of their certification paperwork. If your expiration date passes, the software will prompt you to update your information. You must properly re-certify according to your state laws and provide an updated picture in your profile.

All test kits need to be calibrated. Once the calibration is completed, provide the date that YOUR TEST KIT CALIBRATION EXPIRES. A picture of the calibration paperwork will also need to be provided.

Q - WHY DO I HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE OF THE DEVICE DURING THE TEST?

A - Water Utilities are requiring a picture of the device to verify tester presence and information entered during the test

Q - WHY IS IT ASKING FOR MY PAYMENT METHOD IF MY CREDIT CARD IS ALREADY ON FILE?

A - The software allows the tester to collect a credit card payment from device owners for the testing fees. So the software is asking if you would like to collect a credit card from them or if you are receiving some other form of payment.

Q - WHAT IS A STRIPE ACCOUNT AND DO I NEED THIS?

A - Stripe is a 3rd party payment processing company like PayPal, Square and others. If you set up an account at www.stripe.com you will be able to link it to your CrossConnex account and collect credit card payments from your customers. There is a payment processing fee of approximately 2.7 - 3% that Stripe charges.
